2018 Oscar Predictions by Stars & Popcorn
Oscar Predictions by Film Geeks for Film Geeks!
The Academy Awards are nearly upon us, which means it’s that time of year were Stars & Popcorn roles out it’s Oscar predictions! This is a big year for the Academy as it turns out the race for Best Picture (and subsequently Best Director) is not only close but has a lot at stake. Films like Lady Bird, Get Out and The Shape of Water have a lot riding on them for a number of reasons, but most importantly because they weren’t made by a bunch of white guys. While it’s great to see the Academy being more inclusive, that just made narrowing down Oscar predictions even more difficult! Not to mention, there’s always a big difference between who wins and who we want to win. That’s why you’ll see below each category that there’s a prediction of who the winner will be along with a place for who the winner should be. So, after weeks of analysis and throwing some darts randomly at a board, here are Stars & Popcorn’s 2018 Oscar Predictions!*
*Stars & Popcorn is not responsible for any losses you incur in your Oscar betting pool. I’m a film geek, not a profit. Plus I have no idea what the Academy is thinking half the time either.
