Horror Movies
I wish I had paid more attention in biology.

Splinter– This creepy movie made me stay indoors for a week after watching it. I mean, that’s not really different from any other week, but it’s still one of the better horror movies I’ve seen in years. The film is about a couple that finds themselves trapped with a convict in a gas station after encountering a bizarre creature late at night. The thing is that the creature is controlled by some sort of fungus that makes them super aggressive and desperate to spread the parasite. One touch and suddenly your body is not your own anymore. So, how do you fight something like that? You’ll have to watch to find out.

Oh, there will be blood.

I Saw the Devil– I have to admit, I recommend this to everyone whether they’re looking for horror movies or not. It was one of my favorite films of 2010 and the fact that it’s streaming again has me as giddy as a kid after tearing into his Halloween haul. The basic premise is what would happen if a serial killer killed Korean Jason Bourne’s girlfriend? I’ll tell you, it gets you a clash between two absolute forces of nature. One is a psychopath for pleasure and the other is one for his country. It’s the ultimate showdown and one I know you’ll love.

Happy Death Day
Seriously, is their football team the Crying Babies or what?

Happy Death Day– Who says that horror movies can’t be funny? I certainly didn’t and that’s why I love that Hulu added one of my favorite horror comedies from last year to their streaming service. The film is basically Groundhog’s Day with a slasher twist as a sorority girl tries numerous time to survive her birthday. While it definitely has a horror element to it, I would say that this is definitely more of a comedy and something that even those who can’t stomach horror flicks will enjoy.

Happy Halloween!

The Monster Squad– This is a movie that always brings a swarm of memories back from when I was a kid. Basically, it’s what would happen if The Goonies decided to get into the monster hunting game. A bunch of middle scholars go up against the likes of Dracula, The Wolf Man, a Mummy, a Gill Man, and Frankenstein’s Monster in a race to save their town from the ultimate evil. in other words, if you’re looking for a great horror movie that your kids can get in on Hulu has you covered!

It’s like your very own film fest but with out the over inflated sense of entitlement.

Huluween Film Fest – In a surprising turn of events, Hulu has curated a collection of short horror movies for us all to enjoy. Best of all, they’re actually pretty good and you can get through them all fairly quickly. All of them are about 5 minutes long and include everything from spooky internet videos to horrifying animatronics. I know this was supposed to be a list of horror movies, but short films need love to.  So, if you’re unsure what you’re in the mood for head on over to the Huluween Film Fest, because none of these films are a huge time commitment and all of them are worth it.
