Big Mouth (October 3rd)

I only recently discovered the joy that is Big Mouth. Growing up was hard to do no matter how much you want to look at your childhood with rose tinted glasses and Big Mouth manages to capture a lot of the troubles so many of us had once the hormones started pumping. The series features an all-star cast of some of the funniest comedic actors out there and is a light riot. Don’t let the animation fool you, because this is definitely not a series made for kids.

Operation Finale (October 3rd)

One of my recent regrets was not getting a chance to see Operation Finale in theaters. It only recently received its theatrical release, which is why I’m so shocked to see it coming to Netflix already. Either way, though I’m glad I’ll finally get a chance to see this film because it did look like it had the potential to be quite good. That’s why I’m definitely looking forward to finally getting a chance to see it this October.

Apostle (October 12th)

I love the visceral carnage at the heart of Garth Evans filmmaking style. He’s the guy who brought us both of The Raid movies and his newest feature looks like it’s going to be just as insane as they were. I only recently got a chance to see the trailer and it hooked me instantly. I won’t say that this looks like it will be an easy movie to watch, but it does look like it’s going to be one hell of a wild ride. I honestly can’t wait to see it.

The Haunting of Hill House (October 12th)

News of this original series only just started hitting the internet and from what I’ve seen this looks like it could be the scary series to keep an eye on this month. The film that it’s based on is still one of the best haunted house movies I’ve ever seen and I hope that the series manages to capture the same creepy tone and elements. While scary movies are always fun, finding a legitimate horror show is hard to do and I’m hoping this one proves to be worth it.

Castlevania, Season 2 (October 26th)

Last year Netflix teased us with an animated series based on the hit video game based on Castlevania. It immediately hooked a ton of fans of the game and anime fans in general, including myself. That’s why I’m stoked to see that we’re getting more episodes because season one ended just as things were starting to get really good. It’s been a while since I’ve had an anime series to add to a Now Streaming Article and if feels good to be excited for one again.

Of course, there are dozens of other new movies and shows that will be hitting streaming services this month. So what ones are you the most excited for?
